Stop 7 · Buildings Walk
Tisza Lajos körút · 1896 · and the Anna Well
The bath is named after a little girl, and locals still queue at its well with jerrycans.
Built in 1896 as a public city bath, to plans by Antal Steinhardt and Adolf Láng. A white, oriental-feeling eclectic building on Tisza Lajos körút.
It's named after the artesian well drilled nearby in 1927 and its water, and the well after Dezső Patzauer's daughter, Anna. Patzauer was the first to bottle the medicinal water.
Locals still carry home the Anna Well's water in jerrycans and bottles; they drink it as a cure for digestive complaints.
Today it's a spa and wellness bath, with night bathing sessions too.
